Visitation Information

The monastery welcomes all pilgrims and visitors. Please call before visiting the monastery. Only men are allowed to stay in the guesthouse and only for 1 day. Women can stay at the nearby convent.

About the Monastery

Panagia Vlahernon Monastery was founded inMarch 1999 by Archimandrite Ephrem of Philotheou Monastery on Mt. Athos, following the pattern established for Saint Anthony Monastery in Florence, Arizona. There are three monastics in residence.
