Visitation Information

The gate is open daily for visitors between 6:00am and 8:30pm. Large groups should call before visiting. There are currently no overnight facilities available for pilgrims, but there are hotel accomodations within 5-10 minutes of the monastery.

About the Monastery

Holy Transfiguration Monastery was founded in the Fall of 1998 by Archimandrite Ephrem of Philotheou Monastery on Mt. Athos, following the pattern established for Saint Anthony Monastery in Florence, Arizona. The monastery produces metallic bias-relief icons, large crosses, and monastic clothing. There are three monastics in residence.
