About the Monastery

Protection of the Virgin Mary Convent was founded in 1949 by nuns from the Convent of Our Lady of Vladimir. The Skete sits on 400 acres of mostly forested land with a small dairy farm and some poultry. Services are in Slavonic and English. There were six nuns in residence in 1985.
