About the Monastery

A blessing for the founding of the monastery was given by Bishop Job of the OCA in September of 1998. This women's monastery under the Omophorion of the Bishop of Chicago and the Midwest is dedicated to a traditional life of prayer and work in accordance with the dogmas and canons of the Orthodox Church and the Normal Statute of the Orthodox Church in America. Originally started in Ohio, the monastery accepted a gift of land in Missouri in 2006. Living quarters and a chapel have been completed.
