About the Monastery

St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Monastery is planning to open in February 2008. The monastery is located on the top of one of the local Emmitsburg mountains. Ground was broken on 26 April 2007 on land donated by Alexander and Theoni Kontos of Brookeville, MD.
