Holy Cross Monastery (CR) Dissolved
Two Former Carpatho-Russian Diocese Monastics accepted by Ukrainian Catholics
On December 17, 1997, Metropolitan Nicholas of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese officially dissolved Holy Cross Monastery in Washington, DC. Orthodox Christians are to no longer attend services or seek council from Richard Lee and Tom Seibert (formerly known as Fr. Joseph and Fr. David), or to patronize the Icon and Bookstore associated with the monastery.
On 19 December 1997, the former monastics were accepted into the Ukrainian Catholic Church.
