Accomodations are rough and only for two people at a time. There are plans to convert a barn on the property into a guest house. Please contact the guestmaster before planning a pilgrimage to the monastery.
Directions: Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 19 (Kingston). After the toll booth there is a traffic circle. Exit the traffic circle at the first exit (where there is a sign reading Route 28 Pine Hill). Stay on Route 28 [West] for exactly 17.2 miles. At 17.2 miles there is a big school (Onteora High School) on the right side of the road. Make a right at the very next road after the school. This is Piney Point Road* (It's about 100 feet past the school). This is the road the monastery is on. Proceed up the mountain on Piney Point Rd. for about a mile*. On the right side of the road there is a big wooden Cross on the crest of the hill. There will be a big barn coming up on the right and on the left side of the road there will be a white mailbox with the number 263. The main house and other monastery buildings are across the street from the mailbox.
* At the town border Piney Point Road becomes Cold Brook Road.
The monastery was founded in 1999. Monastic services are held daily. Divine Liturgies are celebrated every day except during Great Lent. There are five monastics in residence.
